We are an organisation where retired or semi-retired people from all walks of life, and all ages - from their 50's upwards - meet like minded men and women to expand their knowledge, share interests and acquire new skills. People of our age group have gained a lifetime experience, expertise and know-how from our occupation, profession or hobbies. We are actively encouraged and helped to form study groups to share our knowledge with fellow members. Members fully involve themselves by organising their own activities in a wide variety of subjects. There are opportunities to keep your mind active, keep interests alive, develop new skills, explore new horizons, meet new people, and share your skills and experiences. The Stroud group has over 400 members. There is a bi-monthly newsletter and regular monthly meetings bring a range of speakers of general interest to the branch members. Members with specialist interests are encouraged to share these with other members in either a learning or recreational environment. Many of the current specialist group activities are summarised in the Groups page. Study group members decide for themselves how frequently and where they will meet. If you have an interest which you would like to develop with others as a group leader, or would like to meet people with similar interest, why not join us. For more information, look through this web site or contact our committee members or group leaders. Branch Registered Charity No. 1030673
