POETRY
FOR PLEASURE
This group has existed since the Branch began, and is an opportunity for people who enjoy poetry to meet, read poems and share their pleasure.
Our meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month at 2:30. The theme for the month is chosen beforehand, and we all enjoy searching for suitable (and sometimes unsuitable!) poems. In fact, I think some people like this aspect of it almost as much as reading the poems. We have chosen such subjects as'Time', 'Journeys', 'Celebrations' and so on. In May, we are having an Edward Thomas afternoon.
I have recently started a second group, as a number of people wanted to join. At the moment this second group meets on the first Tuesday of the month, also at 2.30. I hope someone else will take this group when it is up and running.
