Joining Stroud & District U3A... U3A membership is not related to a specific age but to a period in one’s life (the third age) after the second age of full-time employment and parental responsibility. Anybody in their third age can join U3A and this includes people who are working part time. There is no upper or lower age for membership. We aim to keep our annual membership fee as low as possible and this is currently £11 per member (or £20 for two persons living at the same address) which covers membership of both national and Stroud U3As together with refreshments at the local monthly meetings. Subscribers are also entitled to the national U3A newsletters and a regular newsletter from Stroud & District U3A. The Solo Group has an additional subscription and there is a fee for attendance at each group which varies according to venues and other costs. If you would like to join you are invited to print, complete and return the on-line application form (click here) together with your £11 (or £20) membership fee (Cheque or PO payable to Stroud and District U3A) and a stamped addressed C5 envelope (approx. 9"x6" for membership material. We would be grateful (if you are a taxpayer) if you could complete the Gift Aid declaration form which allows us to reclaim tax on your subscriptions and helps us to keep our subscriptions lower.
